Japanese food is famous all over the world. Everyone knows sushi, tempura and tofu. A lot of Japanese food is so well presented it looks like art. It is therefore a little surprising that Japan's "dish of the year" for 2022 is frozen food. Each year, the Gurunavi Research Institute decides on the winner for its culinary award. The prize is given to food that highlights trends in what people eat. Frozen food got the prize in 2022 because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Many people did not dine out at top restaurants. Instead, they stocked up on frozen food and ate at home. The winning frozen food was very basic - no examples of haute cuisine. The judges selected a variety of frozen meat and pizzas – still in their air-tight bags.
Gurunavi said the pandemic has resulted in food companies experimenting with different ways of freezing food. They want to make sure that frozen food tastes good, even after it thaws out. One of Japan's largest supermarkets has opened a specialized food shop called @Frozen. It sells over 1,500 different frozen food items. Japan's convenience stores have expanded their frozen food sections, and frozen food vending machines are popping up everywhere. Some sell frozen sushi. Japan's Frozen Food Association said changing lifestyles have increased the popularity of frozen food. Japan's population is aging, so many older people find frozen dishes more convenient than cooking from scratch.

確かに。和食は見た目にこだわることが多いと思います。
個人的に高級料理店はあまり好きじゃないです。

I don't rerally like dining out at fancy restrants. They are usually quiet and formal.
I can't concentrate on eating because I worry about manners.
Many people did not dine out at top restaurants. Instead, they stocked up on frozen food and ate at home. What do you think about?
I'm one of those people. I always go to restrant on Sunday before the pandmic.
Because I want to take off cooking. Cooking everyday makes me tired.
So during the pandmic, I often ate frozen food and take out food.

I agree. However, I belive that eating frozen food every day is not good for health.
I prefer to cook my meals from scratch but occasionally use frozen food as well.

I got my hair colored for the summer.
I had planed for (to go to) a BBQ on Wednesday, but My daughter was under the wether before the day.
We stayd at home on Wednesday and Thurday.
While taking care of her, I was cooking lunch and cleaning room. it is usual rutine.
At night, We had dinner and wine that my husband bought.
She got better on Friday, so we went to a park and had a BBQ.
it was a lot of fun! The meat and beer were so delicious!
The weater was nice but it was slightly cold.
While We had a bbq, my daghte was crawling on the grass.
It is first time for her to play outside. She enjoyed it.
She was digging the ground all day. she looked like an archaeologist.
あと、日曜日はオーケストラを聴きに行きました。
オーケストラは素晴らしかったです。子供のためのオーケストライベントで、娘も初めて参加しました。ニコニコ笑ってて可愛かったです。
And, On sunday, I went to listen to an orchstra.
It was amaizing! We had good time.
It was a special orchestra event for children.
Many famous song for children were performed.
She was smilling as the performance started.
